1011 News Reports on Hergert Impeachment Trial

Today in court, reports 1011 News, Former University of Nebraska Regent Don Blank gave his testimony. Don Blank was the man David Hergert was running against in the 2004 campaign in which Hergert is accused of election rigging, lying, and other charges of misconduct. According to Blank, because Hergert did not report his campaign funds in a timely manner, Hergert was not able to request matching state funds. Attorney David Domina, appointed by the Nebraska legislature to prosecute this case, claimed in court that it was Mr. Hergert's intention to miss campaign filing deadlines to conceal his misconduct, rather than a mere oversight.
