North Platte Telegraph: Lawsuit Aims to Stop Land, Water Deal

Nebraska Trial Lawyer David Domina of Domina Law Group recently filed a federal lawsuit (United States Eight District Court) on behalf of two Nebraska irrigation districts: The Frenchman Cambridge Irrigation District and Bostwick Irrigation District. The lawsuit seeks to put an end to the Nebraska Cooperative Republican Platte Enhancement Project. The plaintiffs allege that they have been experiencing extremely low water flow for several years which would only get worse if the project continues. The lawsuit names both state and federal officials as defendants, such as Governor Dave Heineman and the Director of Nebraska Department of Natural Resources. Should the lawsuit result in a victory for the plaintiffs, the result could be an injunction against two multi-million dollar groundwater projects.
