Domina Law Group Supports Medical Malpractice Awareness Month 2019

Our legal team at Domina Law Group is proud to show our support for Medical Malpractice Awareness Month 2019 by spreading the word about the month-long observance and the efforts of the National Medical Malpractice Advocacy Association (NMMAA).

Held annually throughout the month of July, Medical Malpractice Awareness Month is a targeted initiative designed to stem the rising tide of deaths and injuries attributed to medical negligence – which kills over 440,000 patients each year, and more than 1,200 patients per day, according to the NMMAA.

These statistics make it clear productive conversations and real solutions are desperately needed. To further that mission, the NMMAA uses Medical Malpractice Awareness Month to spark interest and support. Some of their efforts include:

  • Promoting awareness about medical malpractice, the problem of medical negligence in the U.S., and how collaborative efforts can improve quality of care nationwide;
  • Improving transparency among hospitals and health care providers to target unreported / underreported cases of malpractice;
  • Educating patients and families to help them better understand their rights and options following preventable injuries, illnesses, or wrongful death;
  • Sharing stories from real victims and families to “End the Silence” about the country’s medical malpractice problem.

Domina Law’s Commitment to Medical Malpractice Victims

Helping spread the word about campaigns like Medical Malpractice Awareness Month is only part of what our trial lawyers do in the fight for accountability and justice. Over the years, Domina Law Group has amassed a record of success in some of the most challenging and high-stakes claims in the nation – including those involving medical malpractice and birth injuries.

As highly fact-specific civil torts, medical malpractice claims demand meticulous investigations into the circumstances surrounding patients’ injuries or illnesses, and treating professionals’ conduct. When exploring whether doctors, nurses, or other providers failed to meet their “duty of care,” our team taps into decades of experience, and collaborates with relevant medical expert witnesses to ensure we address what can be dense and highly scientific information.

Our approach to medical malpractice claims, like all cases we handle, is driven by our commitment to clients and their families; in our efforts to help them prevail, we leave no stone unturned when preparing their cases for trial.
