Oral Arguments Continue to Dominate DLGpc Activity

Domina Law Group pc llo's extensive trial and appellate practice continues unabated, as 2008 opens.

The Nebraska Supreme Court's first session of oral arguments during the year will be held the second week of the month and will include two cases to be argued by Domina Law Group pc llo lawyers.

The first case, presenting to the Supreme Court questions concerning Nebraska's unfair competition act and housing issues, will be heard as the Supreme Court's first oral argument of the New Year.

The second case involves an emotional application by a former lawyer seeking reinstatement to practice before the Nebraska Supreme Court, after mistakes in his life stripped from him the privilege to practice law. More than a decade of intervening time, devoted to an attempt to live a model life with a goal toward seeking reinstatement to the practice of law, has ensued and the case now appears for oral argument before the Supreme Court on the question of reinstatement.

A referee, appointed by Nebraska's highest court to conduct an evidentiary hearing, gather evidence, and make recommendations for the Supreme Court's review, recommended the lawyer be reinstated, and, by doing so, approved arguments presented by Domina Law Group pc llo on behalf of the reinstatement applicant.
