Crash Victim's Family Files Claim

Attorney Brian Jorde of Domina Law Group represented the family of a girl killed in an accident involving a city of Omaha maintenance truck. Alicia Rea was tragically killed in October 2010 when her vehicle collided with the maintenance truck. The wrongful death lawsuit alleges that the city did not clearly warn about the construction project and that there was no proper signage indicating to drivers that crews were working in that area. The complaint asks for the family to be reimbursed for Alicia's medical expenses, funeral costs plus $10 million in damages. The city of Omaha asked for Alicia's phone records because they believe cell phone distraction may have been a factor in the accident.
