New Families File Lawsuit Against Big Ox Energy and South Sioux City

A fourth and fifth family filed a lawsuit against Big Ox Energy and South Sioux City late last week.

Domina Law Group attorney David Domina filed these lawsuits on behalf of the Padilla and Senethachith families, adding their names to the list of 26 homeowners who were initially displaced from their homes in October of 2016 when strong odors began to permeate their homes.

Both families stated in their lawsuits that they became ill from the gases and odors backing up into their home, but for financial reasons, were not able to move to a new home.

The Padillas are seeking more than $274,000 in property damages, and a yet to be determined amount for ongoing medical treatment and damage to the personal health of each member of the family.

The Senethachiths are seeking $256,000 in property damages, and a yet to be determined amount for ongoing medical treatment and damage to the personal health of each member of the family.

More families are expected to file lawsuits in the coming weeks.
