Man Ejected from Truck On Highway 75, Dies from Injuries

Last week, on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, a man was traveling on Highway 75 when he potentially experienced a mechanical issue with his truck and a tire blew out causing him to lose control. Mycal Huff, 19, was driving his truck northbound and lost control of his vehicle, swerving in the median. The accident caused the truck to rollover multiple times and Huff was ejected from the vehicle.

After the accident, Huff was taken to Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition. He later died. With an aspiration for a career in the military, or as a police officer or firefighter, Huff was involved in the junior ROTC program at Bellevue East. It is unknown whether Huff was wearing a seat belt and the accident is under investigation.

If the cause of the accident was due to some mechanical error or issue with the tire, it is possible that Huff’s family can take legal action in the form of a wrongful death claim. It is important to determine the cause of the accident so the liable party can be identified. This is where Domina Law Group can be of service.

If the truck had mechanical defects, the manufacturer may be liable for the accident. The victim’s family can take legal action against the liable party to help cover damages related to the truck accident such as medical costs, funeral expenses, pain and suffering, and more.
