Nebraska Regent David Hergert's impeachment trial began today (Monday, May 8, 2006). The Nebraska state legislature appointed Attorney David Domina, founder of Domina Law Group, to prosecute the case. Mr. Domina, along with the state legislature, is claiming that Mr. Hergert orchestrated lies to cover up his misappropriation of funds, election fraud, and a slew of other wrongdoing. Although Hergert appeared in court today, he has not yet testified. Court officials say that his testimony is poised to take place tomorrow at 9am.
