Billing Philosophy - Value Based

Trial practice requires specialized skills. Getting to trial demands focused, unrelenting planning. Costs can be considerable. DOMINA LAW Group pc llo offers two (2) basic fee approaches. Except in the rarest of circumstances, and only when clearly agreed to in writing, DOMINA LAW Group pc llo does not offer hourly rates for its services. Our approaches are:

Contingent Fees: When serving to recover funds for a client, DOMINA LAW Group pc llo will share the costs of litigation on a percentage fee basis. Fees may vary for special circumstances. Usually fees will be 25% of amounts received before suit is filed or within 45 days thereafter; 33 1/3% of amounts recovered thereafter, and if an appeal occurs, 40% of sums received. Disbursements must be reimbursed by the client.

Unit Billing: Monthly statements detailing services and charges at established unit-effort rates may be used. The units assessed will not be based on time. Instead, they will reflect skill, complexity, sensitivity, and engagement preclusion. In short, all factors required to be considered to establish reasonable fees are assessed to establish the number of billing units assigned to work. Questions or comments about the number of units must be raised within twenty (20) days. Payment is due within thirty (30) days of the invoice date. Disbursements to be reimbursed appear on each invoice.
